What Is the Best Day of Your Life?
Reflecting on the book of Ecclesiastes, in the Hebrew Bible, can help us frame our personal feelings about what our own best day is. The life and times of King Solomon provide an excellent context and example for determining our “best day.” Which is the better day – the day we are born, or the day we die? What makes for a better day – frustration or laughter? Mourning or pleasure? What truly makes each day great? What makes it our “best day?
The Reverend Doctor Robert Martin Fulwood, Sr. is the youngest child of Dee and Phil Fulwood. He is the proud husband of Dr. Karen Fulwood since 1995, father of six children (age range from 33 to 14), and grandfather of three grandsons (Enoch, Moses, & Koben). He has been in ministry for 40 years (24 of these years in Clinical Chaplaincy), has pastored churches in 5 different denominations, and currently serves as pastor of the Christ Temple Holiness Church in Timmonsville, SC. He is a U.S. Navy veteran, currently working as a Librarian at Allen University in Columbia, SC. He holds an earned Ph.D. from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN, and next summer will complete a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Chaplain Educator with the Association of Certified Christian Chaplains and the Association of Professional Chaplains. He is Co-Owner of A'Nu Care Wellness Center in Darlington, SC (with his wife, Doc Karen, who is a Psychiatric Family Nurse Practitioner).
