Social Action

ASWUU provides many opportunities for members, friends, and community to come together for the purpose of bringing greater awareness and understanding about issues of fairness and equity through social action.

Sometimes that social action takes the form of assisting people in need and other times it means working toward a cause for those that are being mistreated or a challenge that demands fair treatment. Our activities range from feeding the homeless, helping families at Christmas and marching at local rallies for different issues. We participate in and support the Black Lives Matter movement, voter registration, LGBTQ+ and Pride celebrations. We also collect items each month for charitable or social justice organizations. So yes, we are social and we are active!
