Weekly Service 03/19/2023 11am

Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

With the arrival of March comes the promise of spring. Eggs, daffodils, rabbits, and lambs. Balance, remembrance, renewal, and hope. On March 20th, it's the time of the vernal equinox if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, and it's a true marker that Spring and warmer, sunnier days have arrived. There are many different ways you can celebrate the “Creator’s Clock” this time of year depending on your personal traditions. The faithful may observe Christian Easter, Ostara, Persian Norwuz,  Japanese Shunbun no Hi, and Southeast Asian Chunfen.  Crowds will gather to watch the sunrise at Stonehenge in the UK and the Cahokia Woodhenge in Illinois. Many will marvel at the descent of Kukulkan in Chichen Itza, Mexico. We mark the coming of Spring and the fertility of the land here in the Low Country by watching agricultural changes—such as the ground becoming warmer, and the emergence of plants from the ground. As our sacred earth mother begins to warm back up, join us and welcome the rising energy of spring. Sweep away old patterns to bring in renewal. Plant the seeds for what you want to grow throughout the coming year.   How will your garden grow?

Please join us this Sunday.  There will be coffee hour after the service. Please bring a snack to share. The service will be available on Facebook Live for those who prefer not to gather in person. Go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link. The service will begin at 11am.
