Click to view the full calendar!

This week's speaker will share from the wisdom tradition from the Lakota people, and we will learn about the Native American tradition of the pow wow and the White Buffalo Calf woman. This is a timely topic, as the 34th Annual Waccamaw Indian People Cultural Arts Festival & Pauwau 2026 takes place on November 7–8, 2026, at the Waccamaw Tribal Grounds in Aynor, South Carolina.
Rev. Pamela Baxter has been a lay minister with Unitarian Universalist congregations in Salem, Oregon, and here in the Grand Strand for over 17 years. She is a former children’s religious education instructor and former President of the Board here at All Souls Waccamaw. A graduate from Coastal Carolina University, she has been very active within the LGBT community with Grand Strand Pride, OutMyrtle Beach, PFLAG and previously served on the board of the Human Rights Commission of the City of Myrtle Beach. A storyteller, a comedian, and a great hugger, please join us for this fun service.
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on Facebook Live. To participate remotely, go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.
We will have our monthly potluck immediately following this week's service. You may bring a dish to share if you would like to do so.
