Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Singer and guitarist Randy Cahall visits us for an hour of songs and singalongs about activism and the Earth. Returning for his second visit to ASWUU, we will turn nearly the entire hour over to him for a concert and singalong. Lyrics to many of his songs will be provided as program inserts so we can all join in.

Randy Cahall has been singing and performing political, progressive folk music for over five decades. Over the years he has supported many different progressive compassionate causes with his feet, his time and with his music. Through the years, he has collected, learned and performed folk songs related to anti-war protests of the 1960s and 70s, the civil rights/freedom struggles, the LGBTQ movement, the efforts to stop production of nuclear weapons and the building of dangerous power plants, and the United Farm Workers and other unions. He sings some original songs, and he also enjoys performing the great music of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Kate Wolf and others. He now does several small tours each year, to continue his support of people and groups who are trying to preserve our democracy, rule of law and the decent and compassionate nature of so many of us in this nation. Although some of the topics in my performance are serious, he tries to have fun and inspire every audience. He especially likes to include some sing-along songs.

The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be available on Facebook Live. To participate remotely, go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.

We have a social hour after the service with food, coffee, and conversation. You may bring a dish to share if you would like to do so.
