Divinity and Mystery Among the Stars Discussion

Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Longtime ASWUU Member and Lay Minister Pamela Baxter will be presenting a discussion on Philosophical and Religious Cosmology or mankind’s attempts to define the wonder and awe of the vastness of space. We will deep dive into topics such as the nature of our reality and our universe's place in the cosmos, cosmological beliefs and narratives within different religions, and the history of the discipline of Sacred Geometry.

Pamela Baxter has been a lay minister with Unitarian Universalist congregations in Salem, Oregon, and here in the grand Strand for over 15 years. She is a former children’s religious education instructor and former President of the Board here at All Souls Waccamaw. A graduate from coastal Carolina University, she has been very active within the LGBT community with Grand Strand Pride, OutMyrtle Beach, and previously served on the board of the Human Rights Commission of the City of Myrtle Beach. She is a storyteller, a comedian, and a great hugger.

The service will begin at 11:00 am. The service will be available on Facebook Live for those who wish to participate remotely. Go to the ASWUU Facebook page and click the Live link.

We will have our monthly potluck after the service.  You may bring a snack to share if you would like to do so.
