The Numinous

This Sunday, our member Jody Feavearyear shares her story of awe and reverence for nature that started with a trip to a planetarium in grade school. That moment of wonder sparked a lifelong journey of curiosity, exploration, and deep appreciation for the vastness of the universe and the intricate beauty of the natural world. Jody’s reflections invite us to consider how moments of wonder can open our hearts, deepen our connections, and inspire a sense of sacred responsibility for the earth and all its inhabitants. Join us as we reflect on how awe shapes our spiritual paths and calls us to live with gratitude and care.
Jody Feavearyear is a long-time Unitarian Universalist. She chairs the ASWUU Social Action Committee and serves on the Worship Committee. Jody is an astronomer/physicist who teaches Astronomy at Coastal Carolina University.
