The Gift of Forgiveness

Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Maya Angelou once said, “It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody.” Forgiving people is a powerful action that can release us from negative emotions and allow us to move forward. It can help us let go of grudges and resentments, and create space for healing and growth. Join us as we explore the meaning and purpose of forgiveness within different cultures and religions.

Pamela Baxter has been a lay minister with Unitarian Universalist congregations in Salem, Oregon, and here in the grand Strand for over 15 years. She is a former children’s religious education instructor and former President of the Board here at All Souls Waccamaw. A graduate from coastal Carolina University, she has been very active within the LGBT community with Grand Strand Pride, OutMyrtle Beach, and previously served on the board of the Human Rights Commission of the City of Myrtle Beach. She is a storyteller, a comedian, and a great hugger.
